26.03 - An Evening with Dirar Kalash
In March 2024, Vers Libre and Lydgalleriet invited Palestinian sound artist, multi instrumentalist and musician Dirar Kalash to Bergen for a 10-day residency.
Dirar will be performing two acoustic sets on piano and saxophone in fabrikkhallen at Bergen Kjøtt. This special solo concert marks the last evening of his stay in Bergen.

Dirar is deeply embedded within a vibrant network of Arabic-origin and international artists across the globe and has been an integral part of initiatives such as Exist, a Palestinian-organised international project that amplifies voices and narratives from marginalised communities. Additionally, as one of the founders of Sonic Front, he is dedicated to pushing boundaries and challenging conventions within the sonic landscape.
Dirar also works within interdisciplinary theoretical research, adding depth and insight to his artistic practice simultaneously engaging with audiences worldwide through captivating live performances as a touring musician.
